A renowned Delta State-born development advocate and environmental rights activist, Chief (Comrade) Mulade Sheriff (PhD), the Ibe-Serimowei of the ancient oil-rich Gbaramatu Kingdom, has formally declared his intention to contest for the Warri Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Chief Mulade said his decision to answer the call to serve is rooted in a deep commitment to the progress, unity, and inclusive development of the people of Warri Federal Constituency.
“I am answering the call to serve my people at a critical time when purposeful leadership, unity, and sustainable development are most needed. I appeal to the good people of Warri Federal Constituency to make a wise and informed choice in 2027 by entrusting me with their mandate,” he stated.
He pledged to deliver people-oriented and impactful representation anchored on economic empowerment, job creation, youth development, and improved social welfare.
“I am your own. I bring a vision of purposeful, inclusive, and result-driven leadership. My focus will be on economic empowerment, employment opportunities, skills acquisition, and accessible, reliable, and responsive representation at the National Assembly,” Mulade assured.
The frontline advocate, who is also a United Nations Peace Ambassador, emphasized the need for issue-based politics and peaceful engagement among political actors.
“I urge all politicians and stakeholders to embrace decorum and engage in campaigns that are issue-based rather than driven by hate or division. Elections will come and go, but we will remain one united and indivisible people,” he added.
Highlighting his development agenda, Mulade stressed that his legislative priorities would focus on the empowerment of youths, women, and the elderly groups he described as the most vulnerable and often neglected in society.
“My tenure, by the grace of God and the support of the people, will prioritize policies and programs that uplift our youths, empower women, and support the elderly. No segment of our constituency will be left behind,” he assured.
Chief Mulade reaffirmed his lifelong dedication to advocacy, peacebuilding, and sustainable development, expressing confidence that his experience and passion would translate into effective representation and tangible progress for Warri Federal Constituency.
