Senate President Godswill Akpabio has declared that the National Assembly of Nigeria is “2000 percent” behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, reaffirming strong legislative backing for his administration.

Akpabio made the statement in Lagos while representing the President at the commissioning of key projects, including the Ojota–Opebi Link Bridge and other infrastructure developments.

Describing Tinubu as a “visionary leader on a mission,” the Senate President said lawmakers are fully committed to supporting the President in delivering democratic dividends to Nigerians.

“We are 2000 percent behind him, and we will ensure that he succeeds,” Akpabio stated, emphasizing the alignment between the executive and legislative arms of government.

He also revealed that he cancelled an international engagement to represent Tinubu at the event, highlighting what he described as the importance of the President’s agenda.

The statement comes amid ongoing political tensions and growing debates over governance, as Nigeria gradually moves toward the 2027 general elections.
