Princess Esom Nwafor Orizu, popularly known as Adakaibeya, has reportedly gone into hiding following allegations of a N500 million land fraud involving a businessman from Nnewi, Anambra State.
According to reports, the Nnewi princess, who hails from Ndiakwu Otolo, is accused of defrauding a fellow indigene through a disputed land transaction currently under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Sources said the EFCC has allegedly frozen her bank accounts as part of ongoing efforts to track her and prevent further transactions linked to the case. Attempts by the complainant and authorities to locate her have reportedly been unsuccessful.
Princess Esom had recently declared her intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency before the allegations surfaced.
The EFCC has yet to issue an official statement on the matter as investigations continue.
