As political activities intensify ahead of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly election, Hon. Ebitimi Ogoniba, popularly known as Senibo, has continued consultations with members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Brass Constituency 2.

Ogoniba visited Okpoama and Eweoma communities, where he met with different groups of APC members as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots support for his political ambition ahead of the election.

During the meetings, the APC chieftain emphasized the importance of grassroots engagement in the electoral process, describing local community support as a key factor in achieving electoral success.

Speaking during the consultations, Ogoniba said direct interaction with party members and residents remained necessary in order to understand their concerns and seek their support ahead of the polls.

He stated that the grassroots play a critical role in determining the outcome of elections, adding that his visits to the communities were aimed at building stronger relationships with party faithful and local stakeholders across the constituency.

According to him, sustained engagement with residents would help ensure that the needs of the people remain central to his campaign and political agenda.

Ogoniba’s campaign message is centered on addressing several long-standing challenges facing communities in the riverine constituency. Among the major issues highlighted during the consultations were economic empowerment, access to quality education, and improved healthcare services.

He noted that many communities in Brass Constituency 2 continue to face development challenges that require greater attention and representation at the state level.

The consultations also provided an opportunity for party members and residents to express their expectations regarding governance, infrastructure development, and social welfare within the constituency.

Community members who attended the meetings reportedly welcomed the consultations and encouraged continued engagement between political leaders and residents ahead of the election.

Political activities have continued to gather momentum across Bayelsa State as aspirants intensify campaigns and consultations in preparation for the upcoming House of Assembly election.

Observers say grassroots mobilization is expected to play a significant role in determining outcomes in several constituencies across the state, particularly in riverine areas where local political structures and community alliances remain influential.

Brass Constituency 2 is considered one of the politically active constituencies in Bayelsa State, with parties expected to intensify outreach efforts in the coming months as the election approaches.
