IYC Election: Delegates Urged to Support Ayebakuro Igbeta for Secretary-General

As preparations intensify for the forthcoming national election of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, delegates have been urged to consider experience, competence, and proven leadership in choosing the next Secretary-General of the organization.

Supporters of Barr. Ayebakuro Igbeta, PhD, have described him as a capable and experienced candidate whose years of active involvement in youth leadership and organizational development make him well-suited for the position.

According to a message addressed to the 117 accredited delegates, the office of the Secretary-General requires a leader with a thorough understanding of the Council’s structure, policies, and administrative processes. The statement noted that Barr. Igbeta possesses the professional expertise, leadership qualities, and institutional knowledge necessary to effectively coordinate the affairs of the IYC Worldwide.

The supporters further stated that Igbeta’s track record of service, commitment to the Ijaw cause, and dedication to organizational excellence distinguish him as a reliable candidate capable of strengthening the administration of the Council and advancing the interests of Ijaw youths.
