A Federal High Court has granted former Chairman of Skye Bank, John Ayeni, bail in the sum of N200 million over an alleged N15.7 billion fraud case.
Ayeni, who is facing trial alongside others, was ordered to provide sureties as part of the bail conditions set by the court. The case involves allegations of financial misconduct and diversion of funds amounting to N15.7 billion.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arraigned the former bank chairman on multiple charges related to the alleged fraud. Ayeni has denied the allegations against him.
The court adjourned the matter to a later date for continuation of trial proceedings.
