The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bayelsa State, hereby announces the immediate dissolution of all campaign organizations, structures, groups, and platforms previously set up by aspirants who have now emerged as candidates of the party for the 2027 general elections.
The Party notes that while aspirants were legitimately permitted to organize and manage their individual campaigns before the primaries, such liberty automatically ceases upon emergence as candidates of the Party. Consequently, all campaign activities, election planning, political coordination, public engagements, media communications, and related operations concerning the Party’s candidates shall henceforth be centrally managed, directed, and supervised by the leadership of the Party in the State pending the formal inauguration of approved campaign structures.
Accordingly, all candidates of the Party are strongly directed to refrain from issuing political statements, campaign-related publications, media engagements, or any public communication containing elements of campaigns without prior clearance and approval from the leadership of the Party in the State.
The Party further bars all candidates from establishing or operating any campaign related organizations, platforms, groups or structures by whatever name or designation outside the authority and approval of the Party.
The Bayelsa PDP wishes to clearly state that campaign activities are governed by extant laws, electoral regulations, and guidelines, and the Party will not tolerate any act capable of exposing it to avoidable legal, political, or administrative complications arising from the insensitive or unauthorized actions of any candidate, no matter how highly placed.
The Party therefore warns that it will not hesitate to deal decisively with any candidate found acting in contravention of this directive or engaging in unauthorized political activities outside the approved framework of the Party.
For the avoidance of doubt, only the State Publicity Secretary of the Party is authorized to issue statements or officially communicate on behalf of the Party and its candidates pending the formal unveiling of campaign structures and roadmap for the 2027 general elections.
The Party urges all candidates, stakeholders, supporters, and members to remain disciplined, loyal, and committed to the collective interest, unity, and victory of the PDP in Bayelsa State.
