Makinde Meets Families of Abducted Ogbomosho Victims, Assures Them of Rescue Efforts

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on Saturday met with families of pupils, students and teachers abducted from a school in Ogbomosho, assuring them that efforts are underway to secure their release.

The governor said both the Federal Government and the Oyo State Government are working with security agencies to ensure the victims are rescued safely.

Makinde gave the assurance during the meeting with relatives of the abducted victims, describing the incident as deeply troubling and reaffirming his administration’s commitment to bringing those affected back home.

He said the safety of the kidnapped children and teachers remains a top priority for the government and pledged that every necessary step is being taken to achieve their release.

According to the governor, security agencies have intensified operations as part of efforts to locate the victims and ensure they return unharmed.

Makinde also appealed to the affected families to remain calm, assuring them that authorities are fully engaged and continuing to monitor developments closely.
