ANGIAMA, BAYELSA – Immediate Past Deputy Director-General (Central) of the Bayelsa State Centre for Youth Development, Hon. Temple Newman Dickson, has condemned the vandalism of the Angiama-Oporoma Bridge, warning that criminality and the destruction of public infrastructure will not be tolerated.
During an inspection of the vandalised bridge, Dickson held a meeting with community leaders, youth groups, the Community Development Committee (CDC), and the local vigilante outfit, urging youths to shun crime and protect government facilities.
He commended the vigilance of community members and the local vigilante group for the swift arrest of two suspects allegedly involved in the vandalism, expressing confidence that the law would take its course.
Dickson also urged the youth to uphold Angiama’s reputation for peace, academic excellence, and responsible leadership, stressing that protecting public infrastructure is a collective responsibility.
He reaffirmed the community’s commitment to safeguarding government projects and called on residents to remain vigilant against criminal activities.
