The alleged Curriculum Vitae (CV) of newly appointed JAMB registrar, Segun Aina, has sparked widespread reactions online after social media users spotted what they described as glaring inconsistencies in the document.

The controversy erupted after screenshots of the CV surfaced on X, formerly Twitter, where users questioned the accuracy of the information contained in the profile.

One of the major claims attracting attention was the timeline of Aina’s professional achievements. According to the circulated document, Aina was born in July 1986, yet another section appeared to suggest he had already become a digital transformation expert in 1988 — at just two years old.

The development triggered mockery and criticism from several users who accused the authors of the CV of failing to properly review the document before publication.

X user Harry Da Diegot reacted sarcastically, writing, “Tinubu’s JAMB Registrar was born in 1986 and became an expert in 1988. What a wonderful Oluwole CV.”

The term “Oluwole CV” is commonly used in Nigeria to describe allegedly fake or manipulated credentials.

The disputed profile described Aina as a renowned academic, systems expert and digital transformation specialist with experience in ICT infrastructure, examination systems, institutional reforms and educational administration.

Critics, however, argued that the dates attached to the qualifications and achievements did not align with the age stated in the document.

Another X user, Queen Bee, also questioned the details in the CV, particularly the claim surrounding Aina’s age and career timeline.

“Ok he was born Jul 1986, we know that Jul 1986-May 2026 is not 40 years. You said he became a Digital Transformation Specialist in 1988, two years after he was born,” she wrote.

She also demanded clarification regarding Aina’s educational background and professional history, asking when he obtained his primary, secondary and university certificates, as well as when he allegedly became a professor.

The screenshots have since gone viral, generating heated debate across social media platforms. While some users argued that the discrepancies may have resulted from typographical errors, others insisted that individuals appointed into sensitive public offices should present accurate and verifiable records.

As of the time of filing this report, neither Segun Aina nor JAMB officials had publicly responded to the controversy or addressed the authenticity of the CV circulating online.

The incident has further fueled conversations about scrutiny of public office holders and the need for proper verification of credentials before appointments into major government institutions.
